The Hospice Nurse Committee was established to provide valuable input to MHPCA in the development of educational and networking opportunities for nurses. The Committee has prepared the following information as a resource. For a list of committee members click: Committee Click to learn more: MHPCA Educational Opportunities Career Qualification Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association is the nation's largest and oldest professional nursing organization dedicated to promoting excellence in pain management and end-of-life care. National Board for Certification of Hospice and Palliative Nurses (NBCHPN®) is to promote delivery of comprehensive palliative nursing care through the certification of qualified hospice and palliative nurses. National Council of Hospice Professionals NCHPP is an interdisciplinary-focused and discipline specific forum supporting hospice and palliative care professionals and volunteers through the provision of resources, education, and networking opportunities. Fifteen discipline-specific NCHPP sections collaborate to enhance the field of end-of-life care, which encompasses palliative, hospice, and bereavement care. NCHPP's primary purpose is to model and enhance interdisciplinary approaches to end-of-life care. |
